In this video, I will be explaining what clamping voltage is in surge suppression systems, what the difference is between a surge protector strip and a standard power splitter strip, explain what surge protection has the purpose/intent of accomplishing, and will be answering the question of if larger clamping voltage is more optimal than lower clamping voltage in surge suppression systems. Note that a relevant topic to the one mentioned within this video which may be covered in the future would be on how they work more in detail or what to look for when purchasing a device to prevent surges from damaging your electronics which are connected such as a surge protector or UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) unit; comment on this video if you want to see one or more of these topics or something similar covered within a future video as most likely we are going to create a follow-up video to this one.
